I am a New Member at Similar Worlds

I am a new member and am very excited to have found this site as it reminds me of EP in so many ways. Yet I have had something unpleasant happen on the first day. I posted my experiences in a mildly adult group. Another user quickly came on to start fighting with me, telling me it was all my imagination, women must hate me and I am a virgin. I don't understand how this user could jump to those conclusions based on anything I said.

This type of thing never happened to me in all the years I was on EP and it happens the first day here. I blocked this user but I want to know....is this common on similarworlds or was it just a fluke?

I have a question about the block feature. I blocked the user I told you about but they are still replying to my post and insulting me. The only difference is it says (blocked) next to their name. I thought blocking them would make it impossible for them to respond to my posts. I guess not. What else can I do to resolve this issue? other than leave the site already...which I really don't want to do.

If you properly blocked the person, he/she wouldn't be able to see/answer your posts.

I want to tell you it was a fluke, but there are a lot of people here who will give you their opinion without you asking for it.
