I am a New Member at Similar Worlds

I live in a small community and work as a housekeeper in local hospital; I believe every hospital large or small should have a maternity ward for expectant mothers so they don't have to drive 25 to 50 miles to the nearest hospital just to have a baby:/ What happened to those days?

one cannot risk ones life and that of your baby in a sub standard hospital
for instance
our local hospital is a mess
used syringes are discarded in the hallways
people leave the hospital with septic wounds
the nursing is lacking
standards are not adhered to
back in the day someone held the reigns tight
we can get those days back, can't we?
