Are we getting more modern but uncivilized

with the more common use of slangs, including various internet/sms abbreviations.
and to my surprise some people are so easy and frequent using them.

or, i am overrating the issue, and i am a narrow minded, old fashioned, obsolete guy.

or, i am getting wrong picture, and people don't mean(and think about the real meaning of) what they really say, but i am getting a sense of vulgarity as i refer dictionary every time i encounters a new slang. if this is the case, why can't people use simple & sweet language to say what they mean.

or, we are really losing our cultural and moral values to a sense of getting modern.

Society is falling back to crudeness, not that it ever went away, but the last generations are outdoing themselves in their creativity for more vulgar ex<x>pressions.

Technology is causing us to lose touch but not become more crude, we've always been that way.

If this open mindedness has found its way to our brains through our language, will it not be reflected in our actions some day. Where we are heading towards, and where it will end.

I wouldn't be too worried, one could argue that the human species has never really been civilised.

Language evolves. You're just witnessing something that is completely normal.

no, we just find modern ways to be uncivilized... we've been like this since forever?
