Do people thrive more without distractions or with?

Suppose a person who has only one focus that is excelling in life and the other person who has a girlfriend, family etc.Who is more likely to thrive?

They say that variety is the spice of life - in my experience, many "driven" and "focused" people are far from content with their achievements and must strive onward and endlessly

It's subjective.

Everything is subjective

Nope. Everything is not subjective. Your question proves that.

If you are always focused on one thing, you'll go nuts. You need to take a few breaks, distractions, so you can come back to whatever it is you are doing feeling refreshed. Even looking out the window at a soaring hawk is a distraction, but your eyes and mind are refreshed, no matter how short the distraction was.

Did you think I just went eeny meeny?

Nope I think its logical :)
But still looking out the window and looking over a family 👪 is a significant difference between the distractions.
