'Murica, why do your police suck so bad? I hear about it in the news all the time...

What you hear is hyped press over a few encounters. There are tens of thousands of honest, upstanding people out there making society safer every day. What we hear is media about a shooting, then tons of media about shootings that were probably justified, and we end up thinking every cop is bad. It's very much the opposite.

Just because you hear about it all the time, it does not mean is is that bad. There are places where the police literally does not do anything and the people run wild. I would rather have over protective police rather than a do nothing police.

Systemic racism, easy targets, disproportionate policing, racial disparity in the force, lack of community outreach that would form trust.....

They don't . I have a few in my family.
