Why do I sometimes feel crappy after a nap?
I think I need more sleep.

Yes that's what it need more sleep.
How long was your nap? The sleep cycle that you wake up from affects how you feel.

Bah I only got three hours' sleep last night and I just took like an hour and half nap.
Ah yes, I know what you mean. There's a "sweet spot" with regard to a nap; too long and you wake up feeling groggy; too little and you wake up feeling......groggy. I find that 20 minutes is just about right.

I slept like 16 hrs.
Low end of my manic cycle. Goes with the territory.
16 hours is NOT a nap. That's like two nights worth of sleep. Wish I could be so lucky!

You are correct, your body needs more sleep.
Ugh i've been there... What december says is right though, there's a sweet spot, and it's between 15-20min tops. If you rest (even if you really don't fall asleep) for more than 20 mins, you'll get to the next sleep phase and then it'd be harder for your body if you interrupt the cycle, thus feeling like you're still sleepy, for the rest of the day.
