What’s the worst book you had to read in school?

I don’t remember the worst book but I remember a short movie “The Lottery” about a harvest festival in a village where everyone in the village had their name put in a drawing and the one chosen would be stoned by all of the other villagers (including family) as a sacrifice to ensure that next year’s harvest was abundant. I told my daughter how haunting that movie was & she told me that they had to watch it too.
