Did Douglas Adams solve Trumps "Cred" Issue?

This was penned way before Trump went into Politics. But its just made for him.

“Electric monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe... The new improved Monk Plus models were twice as powerful, had an entirely new multi-tasking Negative Capability feature that allowed them to hold up to 16 entirely different and contradictory ideas in memory simultaneously without generating any irritating system errors.”

― Douglas Adams, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

I adore anyone who quotes Douglas Adams! Yes, indeed, I have often wondered HOW people can believe such utter lunacy as Trump spouts.. it seems inhuman to believe such utter nonsense.. so, perhaps that's the explanation.. they get their robot monks to believe things for them? Or maybe they are robotic monks?

@Adaydreambeliever I wonder how Trump's cult will react when Trump dies and some normality returns? Will they carry on believing several completely contradictory ideas simultaneously and think them all correct?

@HerKing I think they will! They are so unused to thinking for themselves :P

@HerKing Americans do seem to need to have a strong belief in something. The Flag, the President, God. Maybe thats a good thing and part of their real greatness. But we can see what happens when it goes wrong and they cant turn it off.

@MasterLee Its actually spelled "Non Sequitur", but passing over that and assuming you know the meaning, Read it again. I am sure you will catch on after a while.
(And nice to see you corrected it. 👍️)
