Disney treated Stan Lee very poorly in their dealings with him, the stress was probably a factor in his passing. Disney probably spent some money to keep the stories out of the media for fear of bad publicity coming from comic collectors, conventioners and cosplay type fans. There is a lot of bad blood there.

@Anonymartyr that’s odd, greedy, but the I’ve heard dark rumors about the business side of Disney. Makes you wonder how Walt would have felt.

@Mindful Walt would be ashamed of how Disney is run now. I grew up with disney programs when he was in charge.

It was fairly well posted around certain forums. Although I haven't read anything about his funeral.
But then I guess that may be how the family want it.
The only other thing I've seen is Bill Maher's comments and subsequent backlash from fans who let him know, clearly, that if he didnt have anything nice to say, he should shut his 'long irrelevant mouth up' I seem to remember one Facebook fan saying !
