Can you take advice from a hypocrite?

So if you know you're hearing some really good advice from someone but they don't practice what they're preaching would you right it off and why?

I can. Hypocrites probably give some of the best advice. Just cuz' they do not follow it doesn't mean I have to cut off my nose to spite my face so to speak.

I have a friend like that. She's always giving advice but admits even though she never follows any of it, she wants the best for her friends 😂. I guess I can.Her advice didn't ring bad to me
