Waking up during surgery almost ten years ago. It has lead to me realizing I'm tougher than even I know, and, I've found happiness. I wouldn't want to go through that again, but nor would I trade the lessons learned either.
People broke me, when I used to rely on their validation, but now I care about different things, more things, better things than the fickle admiration of a person or two.
