Another update; A story of Blood Testing

K so the rash I went to the dermatologist for twice ..... It came back again. The medication she prescribed works, deconide cream (if I spelled that right) and some pills to kill bacteria on the skin.

Anyways I went to the allergist yesterday and he thinks it's just infection pores in my skin and is due to hormone levels and should go away in a few years. He told me to use different detergent and not use soap in the shower, because it could just be killing the good bacteria and not the bad... So he wants good bacteria a chance.

He said it looks a lot like flickyitus (not sure how to spell it. So I'll just use a pic instead) but he wanted me to get my blood drawn to see if I am gluten intolerant.

So I get the papers for the lab work and go to the hospital. (For the record I'm dehydrated and I didn't hydrate because I got the lab work done within 15 minutes and I only knew 15 minutes prior). They said I didn't need to fast before so we just got it done.

Some background info - I passed out twice getting my ears pierced. So I already afraid of needles big time. And last time I got shots I full on cried like a baby it hurt so bad.

Anyways I get into the room and she looks at my veins and commented on how they were small. So she grabs the smallest needle.... That needle was practically as thick am my arm... So she has it into me and funds the vein on the first try. (Yay me).

Everything is going ok, I have to look away because I'm feeling sick watching her suck my life force. She says the blood is coming slowly mainly bc I'm dehydrated a little.

Finally she says it'll hurt a bit coming out. Great. -_-_-_- She pulls the thing out and I passed out.

I wake up with my ears ringing and the blood thief, my mom, and another dude looking at me like I'm crazy. I'm shaking uncontrollably and tensing up. "Your pupils are huge" I heard someone say. They asked me a few simple questions "what day is it? What month is it?" To make sure I'm ok in the brain. I barely answer audibly because I'm crying so damn hard....

After about a minute or two they walk me into another chair I can lay in with my feet elevated. I apologized for passing out and and being a problem. They iced my head and chest and gave me a bottle of water.

I'm feeling fine now. I drank a lot of water and now am forever afraid of needles. When I got home my mom told me that the blood drawer wanted to call 911... But we're at the hospital so how does that work?

- apparently 10% of pop. Passes out from blood drawings.
- if you have this problem, request to lay down during the blood drawing

I guess it might be convenient if you require surgery in the field...
