How difficult was it when you first started living on your own?

Moved into a crappy camper for 650 a month with my best friend and his girlfriend. We're trying to move into a better place that'll be worth what we spend, but it seems impossible. This is stressing me out beyond belief but it's far better and less restricting than living with my dad.

its so hard at 1st.. it will get better..
It was difficult, because I didn't make that much, so I didn't always have money for food. I didn't get help from anyone. Over time, things got much better.

I waited until I was 26 and had been working at a good job for about 6 months. Never had any difficulties. 🤷🏼

UPDATE: We are currently living in a new place. A hundred dollars cheaper (+utilities) that's even bigger (a LOT BIGGER) than the old place. We're doing good right now.

I moved out at 21,but I had two jobs. One that paid well and the other was working as a bouncer in a club.

Wait until you have money before going up in rent.

It was actually remotely easy for me to move out on my own. I live in a small town where rent is cheap, so

Took months to adjust. Budget your money. Lived in a ran down apartment. It’s normal. Just a step in being an adult.

I remember when $650 a month rented a spacious four bed three bath apartment, now it barely gets you a closet.
$650 a month I’m a camper!? You’re getting screwed. I live in a nice apartment away from all the riff raff for $500 a month
