A non-life altering experience that was a major dissapointment

By non-life altering I mean an experience that actually was non significant in life like the following:

Chicago Pizza was a big disappointment to me.
It was certainly good, very good but I'm afraid the hype of it all created a myth it couldn't live up to.

Expectation is the parent of disappointment. Sorry that the hype ruined the experience. Just curious, which pie did you get?

@GwydionFrost I suppose it was "deep-dish" but the attractive selling part of it was suppose to be the uncooked sauce that was on it. Does that sound something common with Chicago style pizza? But this isn't about pizza,, it's about a disappointment you've experienced... You have one?

I don't think any human could honestly answer that without a resounding "Yes". From movies that fail to tell the story they are "based upon", to "orange" or "grape" flavored drinks, life is full of "what the hell was that?" moments.

Sorry. You didn’t like it. Not for everyone. Where did you get it from?
GERRI · 51-55, F
@luckranger71 actually, I never said I didn't like it-- factually, i said it was "good, very good"

Haha. Sorry. Usually it takes a few drinks before my comprehension drops off. @GERRI

Yep I didn’t think it was all that either .

@TexChik One of the other posters said it best--- "Expectation is the parent of disappointment".
GERRI · 51-55, F
...so you have one?
