What is the best advice you did not follow?

My own

To not allow myself to be taken in by females
One was going to destroy my career and make me want to die

It happened ,just exactly the situation I was warned to avoid

He said "Next time you will listen when I say NO "

You can believe I will ,,ignoring that advice almost killed me literally and I am still not fully recovered from the lesson

The pain you feel, the happiness, the anger, what you see, what you hear: it's all in your head. You're in control of all of it. Nobody but you can make you feel or think anything.

Well, technically, I guess that's more advice I didn't accept
