What is your most common kind of dream?

Assuming you have one. And I mean the kind you get when you sleep.

I, personally, have tons of apocalyptic dreams of various sorts. Just woke up from a night literally full of them. 8 hours of sleep(albeit briefly interrupted), 8 consecutive apocalypse dreams.

I have conversational dreams with various people in my life or ones that used to be, including a few I was really close with before they died. And then there are the ones where I just hear a voice that gives me clues to a health problem I may be having. Those are pretty sweet, too.

@Peaceful Quite the sweet and helpful subconscious you have there. Though that doesn't surprise me at all to learn. :P 🤗
Peaceful · F
@UndeadPrivateer these types have been happening for the past few years. I love them!
And thanks! 🤗
Work drama or nightmares about terrifying things happening to my children. Sometimes it’s absolutely absurdly nonsensical Dr Suess level shit.

@ProdigalSummer Fuckin' dream scenarios, man.
summersong · F
Mostly about work or somehow related to people I know and/or travel.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@summersong Doesn't sound too bad.
summersong · F
@UndeadPrivateer could definitely be worse.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@summersong I'll still keep wishing you sweet dreams though. 😘💞
My most recurring dream themes are forests, flying geometric shapes, & windows.
caccoon · 36-40
@CountScrofula I can still hear them...
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@caccoon Needs to flash a shadowed creepy child grin just as the screen transitions to shutdown.

Boring conversations with people I know. Really. That's what I dream about most often. Even in my sleep, I lack creativity. 😴 Then I have to ask the people I dreamed about whether or not it really happened because it was too much like real life.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Hah, I see how that could get tricky with false memories.
pentacorn · F
most commonly, nonsensical amalgams of previous day's happenings.

that said, i woke up today and yesterday during REM, dreaming what could only be described as nightmares. stressful week ahead.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@pentacorn Ugh, nightmares. Unpleasant. I get em a lot.

@UndeadPrivateer *holds your hand*

Mine are like... warped takes on reality. They're very detailed and have complicated surreal plots I can never remember. When I do remember sn ippets they're always pretty cool and interesting.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@CountScrofula Haha, many of my dreams are that way too. XD
SW-User
You too bro? Apocalyptic dreams?. Been having the same ones for the last 7 years since my past life regression.
Not so apocalyptic but close, it’s the aftermath of a great collapse of society.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Indeed, I've been having them since I was quite young.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer I’ve had them during child hood too but very rare but until I had the past life regression then those dreams came back very frequently.
Manuscripts and documents. Some are fascinating to read - despite one 'expert' saying that it is not possible to read in a dream!
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@EugenieLaBorgia Not impossible at all, I've done it many times. Just unusual. Most people can't manifest consistent writing with their subconscious.

Sometimes nightmares, more often than not I’m dreaming of being with my friends and family
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User That's pleasant, at least.
Bernie2 · 51-55, M
Sadly not a wet one.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Bernie2 Slay your foes and make the dreamscape run red with their blood. 😌
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
Silent Hillesque
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand Some of mine are too, both the apocalyptic ones and the non-apocalyptic.
caccoon · 36-40
Usually I am constantly running away from something, it's very stressful. I'm almost always protecting a young girl, as well.

And often they are "end of the world" type dreams. Either just before the destruction and trying to prep to survive, or after the devastation and trying to hide.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@caccoon Ah, a fellow apocalyptic dreamer. I get a lot of chase dreams too, though I'm usually alone. I wonder if there's some common psychological components that lead to that? :?
caccoon · 36-40
@UndeadPrivateer I have a feeling it might be related to anxiety...
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@caccoon I had the same thought, hah.
