Have you ever had a runners knee? How many days it took to completely heal?

If cartilage & ligaments are involved it really varies.

My longest recovery was about 4 months, shortest 10 days.

Have it an ultrasound or an xray anyway. If you're a committed runner you need to know what you're recovering from.

Re-injury can be even more uncomfortable.

I have shin splints and it's terribly painful. I don't think it ever really goes away.
