What is your favorite band fronted by Maynard James Keenan?

I love Tool (and very much yearn for their next album), but I think it's A Perfect Circle that has the biggest place in my heart.

13th Step had such a profound impact on me, and had lead to a much better understanding of my personal addictions. While I can't say it's ever helped me achieve recovery, it's made me realize just how precious recovery is. It's something I've certainly revisited all throughout my adult life. (same can be said about Tool)
The new tracks from APC are so much what I've needed to hear concerning my thoughts and feelings about this world I find myself a part of, that they've brought me to tears nearly every time I listen to them. Especially "Feathers".

Puscifer I love because the direction they've gone in also helps to quell some thoughts and feelings on a more twisted and sadistic note.

My love for Tool stays strong as ever (and oh the anticipation!), but I'm SO looking forward to the release of APC's Eat The Elephant in April.

I have to say that these artists truly provide a service to their endearing fans, and to the world.

Not that I expect any of them read this anytime soon, or even at all, but to them I want to say THANK YOU so much for what you do! <3

Definitely APC.
I appreciate Tool for what it is, complex song structures and deep fucking songs, but at the end of the day 13th Step is just a baller record and so fucking real it hurts.

I got Eat The Elephant pre-ordered on Vinyl and I'll see 'em in June :D

@SW-User Yeah, I know what you mean in terms of Tool mindset. Heh. Their music has been described as being music for thinking people, so kudos on your appreciation of them. ;)

And yeah, Gravity has made me cry many times, (as does Tool - Sober) and The Package.. as an addict myself, there is no denying the relation there of what it's like to pick up from a dealer, eye on only what your after. So real its hurts, indeed.. is why I like them so much though. They make it pretty hard to deny those things that addicts so much like to deny.
I was so moved by this album I got their band two crescent logo inked on, to remind myself not just of the band, but what their work has meant to me.

Tool has the better song content and sound generally IMHO. I like a Perfect Circle but they are less bad ass and the more vanilla version of Tool to me.
