Would you confess to a crime you didnt commit if it meant cutting prison time by 3/4?

SW-User
Never. I will forever fight for my innocence no matter what or who believes in me. I stick with what's true and correct

@SW-User So if you murdered someone you would stick to a murder defense over a manslaughter one?

@Jackaloftheazuresand >_>
This is about a crime I didn't commit. Not saving my buttcheeks
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@SW-User Perhaps, I took it the other way. One could get off despite there being a murder but would someone just take the for sure lesser prison time rather than risk the greater penalty?

I’m too stubborn & prideful & don’t care about my life enough to do that
only if there was zero chance i could get out of beating the charge entirely.

I can afford cream of the crop lawyers who could get me a not guilty verdict even if I killed a person in front of the judge and jury...
So I'd fight it...
A very insightful question

The answer is ... we should always do what is in our self best interest

I hate that part of our (not very just) justice system. Overcharge as leverage?
I don't know the answer for myself.
