Do you find it uncomfortable when people want an emotional response from you?

Its always okay when I'm ready and I hate it when I'm not..I might hurt anyone or the truth I knew isn't enough and I might say words that isn't right...I do the rule of thumb lol with right time, right people, right place :)

I think the most sensible thing my wife has done in our relationship was, when she told me she was pregnant she left me a note while I was in the shower, then waited downstairs for me to read it.

She knows that emotions don't come naturally to me, so she gave me the chance to figure out how I should react before I spoke to her about it.

It only becomes uncomfortable when the other person is beyond reasonable discourse and debate.

It's one of the aspects I hate the most about myself, when I simply give up and stop seeing particular individuals as beings capable of intellect and see them as no better than an animal deserving of pity instead of civility.

Yea I'm not too adept at emotion on demand. And it looks awkward when I fake it. So like you said...feelings get hurt. But it goes both ways. Sometimes we might just be expecting too much.

Agreed. I love giving advice when I am comfortable doing so. If I feel remotely crap something will be said that shouldn't have
