I dig Dave. He was the raw seed at the heart of Van Halen. Always love "women & children first".
He is my preferred, can't trump the the Dave factor, can't be reproduced.

Sammy Hagar is great too, just different. The band went in a different direction with 5150 but put out some amazing compositions. I prefer Sammy in his other band, Montrose.

Like more songs from their early albums, but Sammy had a few good ones. Hard not to with that band behind you.

I like the opening theme of Big Bang Theory, is silly, fun and true.

I liked David Lee Roth.

Sammy is 50x times the singer that DLR was on his best day, but Sammy's lyrics are frickin' awful. I'm going with David Lee Roth.
