Do you people know of any autobiographies written by people who had followed their heart and in the process achieved something big ?

Miles Davis’ autobiography is absolutely hilarious and very inspiring

Catcher in the Rye. Ironically it is that book (an autobiography), that made JD Salinger enough money to become a recluse. The book is still huge.

Yes. The last autobio I read was by Bruce Dickinson the lead singer of Iron Maiden. Obviously it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

I haven't read it, but a friend did and loved it. "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain.
