What happens when you have different dreams than your significant other?

What if your dreams clash? What if you want completely mutually exclusive things? No matter how you look at it, it cannot be aligned together. What do you do then? Do you give up on your dreams to stay with them? Can you make that sacrifice? Or, how do you make it work?

You must walk your own path. You must make and own your decisions regardless of the outcome. If you value following your heart and your dreams more than compromising in a relationship then go for your dreams. If the opposite is true then choose your relationship. Ultimately moving forward ensure you have no regrets otherwise you will have ill feelings towards yourself and/or your significant other.

Better to be a whole person alone than half a person in a couple.

Thats why you gotta chase your dreams on your own. Lol

Then you're 'not on the same page' and probably better off parting

Treat the entire experience as a 'sign'. Just because the other person is your 'significant other', doesn't mean that 'significance' you speak of, extends to your hopes and dreams. In fact, the significant aspect you perceive could be unrelated to anything else but itself.[/c]
