I wonder how the pigs keep from baking in that sun. The domesticated pigs like those were cleaner than some of the other animals, but just like dogs they all have different temperaments. Some can be downright vicious and others sweet and docile. I'm not so sure I want to swim with them.
@Fungirlmmm wallowing in mud is kind of like applying sun block...but you’re right, I don’t know what keeps them from burning in the sun and especially the ocean water.

I love piggies, so sure. It would be cathartic as I'm still scarred by the ones my daddy turned into bacon. Never let a child assign names to its future food.😢
They seem gentle enough but doing anything with pigs is not my thing. Used to live on a farm...hogs are nasty and they can be blood-thirsty. I guess these ocean swimmers are well-fed and happy though.
@MellyMel22 Well, to prevent you from ever entering the ocean again, allow me to point out that in that water (somewhere) there is garbage, human waste, medical waste, animal waste, fish waste, dead fish, dead animals, dead people, and a variety of rotting flora.
Who needs Jaws to keep you away from the beach when you can think about that, eh?
Those hogs have snapped people who were posing for photos near them. A model got bit on the butt and others snapped on the face....people forget or don’t know that pigs can do that.
@MellyMel22 typical hog behavior. people forget what they can do. They can eat people alive literally. A man from Oklahoma went to Arkansas to go bow-hunting for bears. He heard hogs and started to climb a tree to get away but they got his leg anyway. He got no bears that year.
@MellyMel22 Pigs are actually pretty clean animals by nature.... On farms, they roll in mud to keep cool because they don’t have regular sweat glands and will tend to overheat and get sunburned. In this situation, they spend a lot of time in the water, which keeps them pretty cool and pretty clean.
@IowaDeviant I have to wonder if the locals catch them once in a while to thin the herd and have a barbecue. Must get tired of eating fish and conch all the time.
