Call apartments that you are interested in and ask them what it would cost you as far as deposits, etc. then you would go from there.
For rent, you generally should divide your income by 40 and that’s the max you can afford per month
For owning, multiply your income by 3 and that should be the ballpark max price you can afford. However that’s pretty vague and I’d recommend to do some research online as there are several other expenses such as deposits and stuff....I would try to find places within your budget and contact apartments that interest you for more details.
