I want you to describe a memory.

Tell me a pleasant memory you hold dear. Perhaps something you treasure of a memory with a relative or someone you held dear and close to your heart. A childhood memory that made you FEEL loved and secure.
I am tired of the Drama I read in S.W. of those bragging of their sexuality.

my Grandma taught me to be a young gentleman ,she was from Charleston SC ,she was a Southern Lady ,but she dies at 49 yrs old from Hip replacement surgery that went horribly wrong ,
but before she was unable to get out of bed ,she was my hero ,later she said I was hers ,
Take me to the Moose lodge ,the Wives of Vets of Foreign Wars dinners ,community center socials ,
She taught GA's a Bible class for girls ,She was very loved ,always lots of company and big meals at Grandmas ,
Grandpa was retired CWO3 ,US Coast Guard ,I am now 3 rd Generation Coast Guard .
Grandma got me a cord organ ,and my first guitar with top value stamps ,they gave them when you bought groceries at the stores she shopped at ,
As she got where she stayed in the bed I brushed her hair ,rubbed her hands that looked like her joints were pumped full of air ,waited on her while Grandpa worked for the city ,,
But she loved me taping the key down on one walkie talkie and she had the other ,and I would play the organ for her over them .
She taught me the old rugged cross ,she would sing it as I played ,
and you are my sunshine ,she sang that to me
now that I am crying ,I'll stop ,
hope you enjoyed the memory too

Thank you guys for the briefness of reality. I enjoy sex like anyone else. But it's not something I feel a constant joy in reading everyone discussing their prowess. I am waiting for the monitors (if there are any)to step in and clean this group up!
For now, S.W. is the only 'chat' I know of. And there I times I need a place to come where I can let off steam.

I used to have reoccurring nightmares about my parents being taken away by witches. I used to shout and wake them up to check they were alive. They were very patient.
They bought me a toadstool nightlight and told me if I couldn't see it in my nightmare I was sleeping and if I woke up and saw it I was in a world without witches. They stuck photos of themselves by my bed.
My Dad would read me stories to get back to sleep or my mum would stroke my hair. I've had a great childhood. They've always made me feel loved.

Thankyou Bill. My mom wanted my sisters and I to be pianists. I hated to practice. I wasn't good. Knew I never would be. It was many years that passed before I was able to confide in her that I was never going to be an artist. I hated playing the piano. The practicing. Yet in today...I have many pianists on my computer.
From the time I was 3 we went to Denny's every day so my parents could drink coffee and talk with friends. Sometimes I got hot chocolate. The waitstaff was like family. And occasionally the owner would give me m&ms on my way out.
On the weekend, except in winter, I spent in the back seat of the car driving 'west' or east'. There was never a destination. We would drive for hours to get coffee three states away, turn around and return home.
I read posts like this, and then I feel a bit down. I'm sure I have such memories filed away somewhere, but off the top of my head, I can't pull one up...

I am not wanting to believe your entire life is nothing but PORN.

@Carla1951: Give me a memory. Something that makes you smile when recalling it. A time of when all were seated around the table thankful for what they had, not what the didn't have. Was there a pet you clung to. That would run to you like a puppy when called?
I had a cat. He was a stray I brought home and he knew I rescued him. I named him Cleo. He got hit by a car and I cried for days.
