What's up with people hearting stories on here without reading them?

The last few times I've posted a story, I've noticed they start out getting more likes than views. The one I posted tonight has no views at all, but somehow managed to get hearted by someone. What's up with that?

Depends how long the story is. If it's only a few lines you can read it all without actually opening. That's my guess.

@Missing: I tend to write a whole lot more than a few lines when it comes to my stories, so it might explain it when it happens to others, just not in may case

@HalfCactus: No idea..maybe someone is lazy so doesn't read it all but wants to support your posts.
Simple, you can heart a question or story without clicking to go in. Thus it can be hearted more than its viewed.

I don't know, but I've noticed that too. :/

I think some people browse around profiles and just heart random stories and questions.

@UndeadPrivateer: It's happened to me the last few times I've posted one, so I doubt it's random

@HalfCactus: Oh I mean random in a more ephemeral sense, like they just go through and hit heart on some of the stuff they see. Not like they do it entirely without purpose. Probably internet stalkers and weird folk.

We can read your post without opening it.

@HalfCactus: Your last few are kinda short

@SimplyTracie: Not my stories

@HalfCactus: Oh okay. Some are questions I see

People on here are weird. Haven't you noticed this by now?

@Angelwithbrokenwingxo: Weird is labelled that way because it's different from the norm. This, however, is a trend, or at least it appears to be one, and weirdness doesn't exactly explain trends. There's gotta be something behind it
i actually occasionally heart some stories merely because i am amused by or enjoy merely the title alone, and i see nothing wrong with this. i do however get mildly creeped out by the people who deep it necessary to pm me to personally thank me for a virtual heart that means almost nothing like it was an Oscar.(no, i don't mean you)
