Why are fidget spinners popular?

And what are they for? I spun one last weekend and nothing special happened, nor did I feel any different. All they do is spin :/

Fidget spinners and fidget cubes are for people who have ADD, ADHD, etc. so that way they can concentrate better since it would eliminate the need to do something else while working.

@SimplyTracie: But I can see how it would be helpful in other ways too.

@KandiGhostcat: I understand. I'm glad it helps you.

What tools did you use before the spinners came out?
KandiGhostcat · 22-25, F
@SimplyTracie: Nothing. I had to get myself to concentrate on my own, even though I have ADD really badly (I stopped taking my pill for a year, didn't like it).

Only noticed on YouTube. It probably trending as a famous person was doing it. Announcing it on twitter and social media even though it was meant be used for people with ADHD issues and since YouTube is going through a dry spell of losing money and aiming for family friendly content for the money. This is where the fidget spinners become popular for the masses to take notice
