What is the importance of perception?

SW-User
It can make someone happy.
It helps a shrink manipulate their patient's thoughts for bucks.

@Winterwanderer: 😱😱😱 damn you're right!!!!!! MIND=BLOWN
We need it to perceive stuff.
@Winterwanderer: Well, I likes to go around percepting things and stuff like that.
@Winterwanderer: Sorry, I'm in a self deprecating mood for some reason. I'm always rambling on about the 'filters of our perception'. It's fascinating how different our individual 'filters' are. Freud and Jung type stuff!

Freud & Jung are aight, I'm sure we have a lot of filters, things we choose to see & things that we don't, based on a lot of different factors, but I think the truth is almost always accessible to him who earnestly seeks it.
Perception is reality.

Very important.

Well the way you just said it is different than the original phrase. The phrase "Perception is Reality" equates perception to reality, which is not a true relation, but in the way you said it, also no our perception does not necessarily define or even affect the way we think, though it has the capacity to (& often does for the general public), it only affects us when we give it the power to.
@Winterwanderer: Aww. Tomatoe .... Thank you for info. All the best.
