What would life be like now if we had not created religion?

KingofPizza236-40, M
Honestly? We probably (and sadly) would have found some other reason to divide ourselves up and fight.

We'd still be fighting over politics?!馃槧

@Heartlander, I think we are being "tested" in some way.馃

@Peaches: I won't judge you Peaches..if you smoosh it because it crawled on you....I get that....that is scary for most people...but, if you see one WAAAAYYYY UUUUP HIIIIGH... on the ceiling, 30 feet from you...and you leap out of your chair, get the ladder and a rolled up newspaper...climb up there and smoosh it...I'm gonna have to break up with you.

Look at that adorable face...how can you smoosh that?[image deleted]

Interesting question. We probably wouldn't have so many schools or hospitals for starters. What were St Luke's and Mount Sinai Hospitals called before they became St Luke's ad Mount Sinai? Oh, they didn't exist.

And let me seeeee .... what would places like St Louis, San Francisco and Los Angeles be called without the "saint" and "angel" parts? How about "M004" for St Louis, "C006" for San Francisco and "C053" for Los Angeles?
FernieF
honestly HeartLander....I wish I could live in your bubble of delusion and denial...must be peaceful in there...not having to deal with anything real

Oh, it's not so difficult. Just start with the notion that few things are either all good or all bad. Yea, some bad things happen under religious banners, like ISIS and the Spanish Inquisition. But also some good things, like Mother Teresa and St Luke's Hospital that patched me up after an accident. In my bubble, the good tends to outweigh the bad. Like when I was a kid I was an altar boy and I didn't get molested by the priest. It's not a denial that some were, but goes to the notion about everything not being all good or all bad. Why should I hate the nice priest who preached love and kindness because another priest across town did something bad? On the larger scale, why would I hate all Muslims because of ISIS or the Taliban?

@Heartlander: "some were"...you have a real gift for understatement sir
