I'll be back April 16.

Easter.

This place is so interesting. I've met so many cool people here. I've met some not so interesting also. I had the idea that everyone has a story. That story is worth hearing. This has enriched my life beyond measure. So many beautiful souls. The dark ones only need just an ounce of kindness and encouragement and some will blossom 馃檪 Some will not as they are quite content to marinate in their own miasma. Do not hesitate to block these. I started a blocking spree and I was amazed by how much better my experience here was. It allowed me to fixate on users who's posts are worthwhile.

So why am I leaving for lent? If I didn't like being here it wouldn't be much of a sacrifice, would it?馃檪 I've been a Christian for the vast majority of my life. I've never went out much for the whole lent/ Ash Wednesday thing... This year I want to give it a try and see what happens. I'll spend this time reading and studying and taking pictures 馃檪I'm also giving up the news, sugar, and caffeine. These will be easy and more than likely permanent. I will be back to SW however. I'm kind of dreading it but at the same time a bit excited to be doing something different, kind of like an adventure of the spirit and mind馃檪

So this is my Fat Tuesday post. I'll be here till I get tired or midnight, whichever comes first馃槣

Enjoy the change. Share some of your pictures with us when you come back, if you'd like to. I love personal photography. It tells me so much about the person who takes the pictures. I must get myself a decent camera. My phone takes kind of fuzzy pictures. The quality is poor and I love taking nature pics. Especially clouds and other water. Even a puddle can be fascinating, with the clouds or buildings or birds in flight reflected in it.

Oh! The puddle is a great idea! I just use my iPhone. I'm just an amateur 馃檪

I'm more than an amateur. I'm not even a good beginner. I have a problem with framing, and lighting. My granddaughters are virtual artists with a camera in their hands. The two of them went out together a few times and the pictures they took were stunning. One thing they did that I loved, was that while one took pictures, the other was tossing rocks of different sizes into a pond. The splashes were interesting and the fact that they chose sunset to do it was great, because the water splashes picked up the colours of the sunset.

One got up on a roof, when the sun was getting low in the sky and took a picture of her shadow on the roof of the house next door, taking a picture of her shadow. Fascinating, the ideas some people get. They have pictures of discarded (or lost) shoes. An overflowing trash can right under a sign that says keep our city clean. So many things, just from walking around.

All great ideas. The young minds are fresh and uninhibited by words of can't!
