In your opinion what's the difference between saving and hoarding?
At what point does collecting or saving objects become a problem?

Mmmm...when you have more than one of something and it is over 5 yrs old.

Interesting.
I'm a little more proactive and if something hasn't seen use in about a year, it's gone.

I allow 2 years on most things.
If you never use what you have saved... if you find yourself always having to get another item because you cant find the first one then you know you're a hoarder

Hoarding when it becomes unsanitary or harmful to self or others. Saving when it's logical for future use or later worth. Not many money hoarders around.
