Did you see the story where a Mother shoots her son while shooting at the neighbors dog?

A Houston mother accidentally shot her own son in the abdomen while aiming to hit her neighbor's dog. A 6-month-old boxer puppy ran out of it's owners house and the neighbor fired 3 rounds off at the dog but mistakenly hit her own son.
Can you imagine what it will be like in Texas when anyone age 21 or older can carry a handgun as long as they don't have a legal prohibition? No background check, no training and no background checks on private guns sales.

What kind of a neighbor from hell is that? She should have the child removed from her care. When my neighbor's dog gets out, as has happened, and it ends up in my yard, I play with her, give her a treat and then take her home. If they're not home, and she came out through her doggie door, I call them and let them know that she's come over for a visit.

Why would she open fire on a puppy across the street? How dumb do you have to be? She's lucky that nobody was killed, though she shot her own son. Complete madness.

@toddr13 The guy was right there calling the dog back but she let off a few rounds in the neighborhood. With no permit required just think about all the Macho 21 year olds carrying and shooting at whatever scares them.

@Pitchblue Absolutely insane! And, if the puppy came over to her, was she going to kill it in front of the owner and her own child? The husband should take the kid and let her rot in prison.

@BalmyNites Very true! The poor kid, being shot by their own mother. How can you come back from that? Sorry, I meant to kill the puppy in front of you, but shot you instead. That's not a parent doing the best that they can and looking out for the welfare of their child.

@Pitchblue Yes, that will be some happy reunion when she gets out of prison. A little boxer? I don't know how anyone could be afraid of a sweet little boxer puppy as they're great with humans.
