Have you ever struggled with an addiction?

I quit smoking. I'm also addicted to false hope in making a nice life through my own efforts

No cure for that, and I'll probably die of it.

My introduction to addiction was as a teething infant to relieve pain. At that time it was common to apply Paregoric to the painful gums. Available at any drug store by an adult asking for a bottle.
Paregoric: Camphorated tincture of Opium, a traditional patent medicine known for it's analgesic properties as well as many other maladies requiring homeopathic medication. Recovering from alcohol is one day at a time, some days it's one minute at a time.

I used to be a Coke addict

I've struggled with many addictions in my life. When I was young, it was drugs. Then coffee. And certain foods. Now I have an addiction to a guy...it's called Limerence. The only way to recover from an addiction is cold turkey.

Yeah kinda still going through it difficult and conflicting idk if I'll make it through my 20s and if even really want too anyways

Most of my Immediate family are dead I'm kinda alone here. 😔

Only to cigarettes. I stopped smoking though and switched to vaping. It's not the same as being nicotine free, but it's harm reduction.
