Prince Philip resting place

I read an article that he will be temporarily laid to rest in one area. They said that he would be moved at a later date. The same thing happened to Queen Elizabeth II father. His remains were moved 17 years after his death. Why does this happen?

Perhaps their last wishes are to be buried/interred next to their loved ones after they've passed away.

@Picklebobble2 Well I thought this too, but then why not move them to a permanent place and just leave them there till the loved one arrives?

Also Elizabeth’s dad was moved only 17 years after his death. His wife wasn’t passed at that time so what the reason there? Weird.

I don't know, apparently it was common in biblical times for the affluent to do same.

Oh, you know the rich and famous. Always jet setting around, even in the afterlife!
