Where you the last to be chosen which team in gym class?

I was, (gorgeous as I am now rolls eyes) In gym class I was a fat ass with cheeks like the Campbells soup kids.

I wrote my own sick notes to avoid gym altogether! lol

Yes-and I never let the kids pick the teams when I was a teacher.
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Seriously, I used to do workshops on erasing the stigma of nursing homes through age integration programs, did programs up and down the state of Ca. There is NO reason you should not be eligible for grants given that your approach is such an important psychological need
@TheSirfurryanimalWales And PLEASE don't say, "I'm too old" so irritating.
@Grateful4you yeah....it is...

Somewhere at the bottom of the pack. Not because of ability either. More because I was a loner and socially inept.

It was always a surprise when I beat the pants off some of the more social and popular kids. 😈
@DeWayfarer Oh hell there are folks a decade or more older than you. I had the excuses too, you think I didn't have a busy career? PLEASE for once think out of the box and take a risk you'll never regret even if it's only Toastmasters, one thing leads to another. At your age even you know that I'm the same age as you and I know it will change your life. Please just go once and see.

@Grateful4you dad passed away of cancer at 70 mom not much later. I'm soon to follow that same path.
@DeWayfarer Oh gosh that's really sad. Are you symptomatic or holding the course? Okay, by now you already think I'm some half-baked lunatic but listen very carefully, when you have a chance, check out Rene Cassie. She lives in Canada and once had a clinic for cancer patients. She was closed down because, this is the part that sounds looney tunes and I know it, but her name keeps popping up in health books I read and there are a few clinics in Mexico that are using her blend of special herbs given to her by a tribe in Canada. You can see for yourself on YouTube as it tells her story better than I. This Native American blend has cured cancers in Canada, America, Mexico, I come from a medical background and know for a fact that if a cure for cancer was found tomorrow practically the entire medical community would collapse. The AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY is the richest non-profit in the world. Thus they closed Rene Cassies clinics, here in America and Canada. But her blend of native American herbs remain cheap and available either on-line or Ma and Pa health food stores the brand name is esissac (the shopkeeper should know it. I take it daily using my tea ball letting it seep a good long while and add honey and it's actually rather tasty. I also chew a few stems or seeds but that's just me for a more concentrated tea. I SWEAR I have NO interest in telling you this, I get not one penny, only the satisfaction of mabe helping this should the disease eventually manifest. Best to use before disease takes hold I think. Read her story, decide for yourself and perhaps let me know eventually. My best, David Hart.

No, I was the first to be picked. Always. Wasn’t a good thing all the time as the expectations were high when I was playing highschool and college football.
@SW-User You were the guy I hated. In retrospect, I see your point, as I went higher, and higher, up the career ladder there were NO accolades or cheers. Ironic isn't it?

@Grateful4you I know and I wasn’t just a sports guy, my grades were high too. I was the youngest to graduate from my school and college but what was annoying is my mentors and coaches only saw my physical attributes, not my academic abilities. Now I’m have set up my own firm of green energy last year when I wasn’t even 30. I engineered all of it from scratch. I didn’t want to take the sports route. I only enjoyed it and I still do but not something I’d choose as a career.
@SW-User To me buddy, your own firm of GREEN ENERGY is like the Nobel prize. What a wonderful thing. Go far, prosper and grow!

I was that far down the que the megafone couldnt reach,The college i went to was administered by the priests, and people like me were not allowed gym time as i was deemed sexually challanged.
@LUVELACE OMG! Much, much worse than my own experience. Hate to say it, it's not the first horror story I've heard of Catholic schools. Hope you are okay now. Life can be so damned cruel bud/or miss?

@Grateful4you I never let it bother me really, just done my school years as best i could, then joined the military, was invited back many years later but invite went in the bin,

Yes, though in football and possibly cricket, not in non-team activities such as in the gym.

(The lessons were called PE, not "gym", because they covered a range of team and non-team work.)

I think the teachers did try to ensure it was not the same boys picking the same teams each time, for fairness, but there were always a few of us as the last ones were picked because we had to be!

I was never much good at either types, didn't enjoy them, have never had any interest in the competitive sports since; either as player or spectator. I became interested in non-competitive outdoor-pursuits instead, mainly walking.

If by gym class you mean PE, then yes. I hated PE with a passion. Especially after I got hit in the head so hard with a dodgeball. It was rubber, but the dude threw the ball so hard that it left a huge lump on my forehead for over a week. I’ve hated everything athletic ever since.
@RopinTexan See what the teacher above posted.

I was picked last, until junior high school, when the popular girls found out I'm good at volleyball lol.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Yup, I was either last or close to it! Definitely bottom of the barrel here.
@FaeLuna Welcome to the club hon. Most of us decided "never again" and many of us struggled but got to the top and still maintained being kind, loving people, unlike the snobs that were alway's chosen before us!
