Hope this doesn’t happen in the US. Even if its for the best. we are giving up our freedom but what if the government decides they wont give it back

We put Japanese-Americans in camps for essentially no reason at all - but we did let them out.

That said, some context would be nice.
@QuixoticSoul Also to a lesser number - Germans and Italians as well...

That's a big risk indeed, especially in the USA with a guy in charge that expressed on multiple occasions that he's interested in a dictatorship.

Tbh the governments know that there will be major unrest the longer they keep up lockdowns. They didn't want to do it here either for that reason as people will eventually get tired of it.

Ima pass thanks. But FWIW I see one of the 3 other answers also asked for context. Sorry for all the trouble I caused.

It already happened after 9/11 and the new anti-terrorism laws, so why not this time 🤷‍♂️

It'll be interesting to see if we actually have an election in November.

Hope 'what' doesn't happen in the US?

@hlpflwthat reread and comprehend and get back to me what I am saying. Apparently everyone else is on board.
Then there is no more govt...

If travel and other restriction are implemented I think the only safe and responsible thing to do is go along with them and encourage others to do the same. The time for worrying about getting any lost liberties back will be when the virus is finally well and truly under control. ❤️

Unfortunately it's a possibility

Facts, once one is taken away it rarely is given back. 9/11
MethDozer · M
@SW-User No offense but you don't even know how much it changed. It's ridiculous really.

@MethDozer That's probably true. I was 1 when 9/11 happened. I can't remember life before it.

@SW-User Yeah, I mean its just words to be read for ya. Not that you can't understand just you know what I mean. I was your age when adulting was completely redefined one day.
