Where do you live? A brief description of the USA.

Hahaha I just read an old post of mine where I named like all fifty states and said what I knew about them. I’m from Iceland but I’ve lived in the US quite a while, but still know pretty much nothing about it. Here is my updated take from what I do know.

Alabama - a lot of country folk.
Alaska - the Greenland of USA. Also apparently the crime rates are pretty bad.
Arizona - dryness?
Arkansas - nothing is in Arkansas. Also why is it pronounced Are Can Saw? You Americans and your English.
California - where literally every celebrity lives. And apparently Californians are mean lol.
Colorado - weed and mountains. A great combination.
Connecticut - why do I feel like everyone from Connecticut ends up going to an Ivy League school?
Delaware - no one lives here. Like does Delaware even exist?
Florida - The Golden Girls haha. And oranges.
Georgia - peaches and country folk.
Hawaii - volcanoes and tourists.
Idaho - nothing and potatoes.
Illinois - Chicago.
Indiana - what is in Indiana?
Iowa - no one lives here. Iowa effectively does not exist.
Kansas - ok so if there’s Arecansaw why is this not Kansaw? Freaking English
Kentucky - chicken and more country folk
Louisiana - mosquitoes and gumbo.
Maine - ayyyy I used to live there. Bomb ass seafood and nice sights.
Maryland - Baltimore? And crime.
Massachusetts - witches. That’s all.
Michigan - I have no idea. Besides Detroit.
Minnesota - nothing is in Minnesota.
Mississippi - just a bunch of double letters haha. Otherwise nothing I know about.
Missouri - misery.
Montana - mountains and snow.
Nebraska - nothing.
Nevada - Las Vegas.
New Hampshire - no one lives here either haha.
New Jersey - Jersey Shore and trophy wives.
New Mexico - dryness. Arizona’s cousin.
New York - arguably the best state. So much to do. Everyone and their mom’s ancestors immigrated (emigrated?) there. Pretty cool stuff.
North Carolina - pine trees?
North Dakota - more nothingness.
Ohio - Ayyyy I live here.
Oklahoma - tornadoes. RIP Oklahoma.
Oregon - uhhhh skip.
Pennsylvania - mütter museum.
Rhode Island - nothing.
South Carolina - ...more pine trees?
South Dakota - no clue.
Tennessee - more country folk.
Texas - cowboys and barbecue. A lot of big things. Because apparently everything is bigger there.
Utah - Mormons
Vermont - maple syrup and Bernie Sanders
Virginia - ooofff I have no idea.
Washington - Starbucks and a bunch of emo people who love the rain. Also Twilight.
West Virginia - mountains? No clue.
Wisconsin - didn’t a rapper rhyme mansion with Wiscansin
Wyoming - Montana’s dry cousin.

Well there you have it. An Icelander’s take on USA.
(Note: I love the USA and am glad to live here.)

I'm from Connecticut:

"Connecticut - why do I feel like everyone from Connecticut ends up going to an Ivy League school?"

And you're right because I go to Brown! Which is in Rhode Island:

"Rhode Island - nothing."

Aww that's not nice. :( Family Guy takes places here!

Mississippi- everywhere north of the coast sucks. It’s like a different state.

@SW-User I hate to admit I know nothing about Mississippi

Beautiful place, mostly crappy people. It could be a lot better, central MS is the absolute worst part of the state. @Syktur
