Electric stoves shouldn't even exist.

@canusernamebemyusername Gas oven is better

There are no gas lines in my area....our electric stove has been quite useful.

@DragonFruit Propane.

@MethDozer For a barbecue grill, fine....but large propane tanks have exploded and destroyed several houses. no thanks, I’ll stick to the electric stove inside my house for now.

@DragonFruit That's so rare. Never even heard of it happening anywhere around me. Besides you don't keep them in your house. I filled my 100lb. About once a year and that's with the stove and grill on flame tank. A grill tank last over a month even.

I grew up with an electric stove. I never knew how amazing cooking could be until I had my first gas stove. Everything cooks evenly 😁.

@Keepitsimple Yessss.

i prefer gas ranges too. it’s easier to cook with, and food tastes better. i love my gas range.

I've always preferred cooking with gas. Unfortunately, I don't have gas in this house, so I use an electric stove.

@Kingfish28 see below. They are inferior in every way by a large margin. They just suck.

@Kingfish28 Stuck using one past few days. It makes cooking not fun

@bijouxbroussard They sucking every way. They are just terrible to cook on. Can't easily adjust the heat, no response on the dials, they heat pans in weird ways, the danger of them staying hot after turning off, expensive. Take forever to heat up.

Just terrible compared to any other type of range.
@MethDozer I could see that. But I guess it’s a matter of what you’re used to. I practised cooking on an electric stove when I was kid. There was still a way to turn the heat down, and I simply took pans off the stove so things wouldn’t continue cooking while the stove cooled down. The first time I used a gas oven was in my husband’s flat, and the pilot went out. I watched him relight it—I wouldn’t have known what to do and probably accidentally gassed myself. I’ve been successfully using a gas stove for many years since then, but there was a learning curve. 😅

@bijouxbroussard They don't even have pilots on the new ones. It's all peizo. I always thought the pilot light was a dumb idea to be honest. Matchlight burners are just as easy and never have to worry about the pilot.
