Can you answer?

You have got three switches outside a room and only one of them can light the bulb inside it... You get only one chance to step inside the room to check.. The room is fully covered and no light is seen from outside...

How would you declare which switch is connect to the bulb?

turn s1 on, wait, turn s2 on, get inside the room, if the bulb is not on but warm it鈥檚 s1 otherwise it is s3

I'd flick each switch and listen for the snap of the spark as the switch engages and the circuit connects.

Am I to assume that when I start this the light inside is off, all three switches are in the off position, and none of the switches are 3-way switches?

@honeydimples switch on two switches first.. then go inside

If the light is switched off then it's the third switch

Otherwise you go out again and switch off one more

You get the idea

@midnightsun but u have only one chance to enter the room and check.. If u come out and turnoff one switch Then how would you know which switch is connected to bulb?
