are drunken words sober thoughts?

Tarxarin · 26-30, M
No. Most of my friends have less integrity, focus, and honor when drunk or high.

They just stop giving a fox and act like asshats. The next day they say sorry and ask what actually happened lol. Ive never met someone who is more them drunk then when sober.

@Tarxarin That’s more like it...

No but to be taken with a grain of salt by the ones on the receiving end of the drunken words if they're promises and flattery, and ignored, if possible, if they're nasty.

Hmmm Well they do say a drunk will tell the truth .... but I’m not so sure... 😀

They would come without the inhibition one may find themselves with. To say those are honest thoughts as there would be some guidance in themselves why they didn't express before may be a misnomer to say honest.

True and if it's something that's been sat in the stack of things 'waiting to be said', then it's been thought out to the ability of the speaker. If however it's spur of the moment, the reasoning of a drunkard may not be 100%.

Yes and no. They may reveal urges, at least, but people say and think things when drunk that are not always entirely rational.

I've never heard it explained like this, in so many words. Brilliant. I wonder if either of us is drunk right now? 🤔
SW-User
Sometimes I'm sure they are. But most of the time they're just the ramblings of a pisshead

Nooo they’re different defo not sober
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
right so they have less inhibitions to speak the truth @SW-User
SW-User
They’re physically not the same after drinking so different thought pattern for sure and sometimes it’s complete bs other times it can be enlightening. The truth is spoken from the heart imo not drunken expression that’s just false confidence and stupidity lol @DoubleRings

Drunken words are often the honest ones. I've blurted a lot of **** when I'm drunk
Whyme · 46-50, M
I think there may be some truth to that but lotsa variables
“In vino veritas” ? Not necessarily.
