Is there a question you’re asked often that you hate answering again and again?

Maybe you don’t really hate answering the question, but you’re asked it so often that you hate having to answer it again and again.
I really hate when people ask me what career I plan to pursue with my major. Not only does it seem like someone asks me that at least once a day, but I feel like it’s a pointless question. My major is English education - I’ve always felt like my career choice is a given. There really isn’t much else to do with I degree in English education - or education in general - but teach. Or, at the very least, work in schools.
I know it’s not worth complaining about, and hate is probably a strong word for this. I just wish people would stop asking so much, haha. I feel like i ought to just wear a badge that says “my major is English education and so I plan to teach high school English.”
Yes. And it’s alway a two-parter...“How many children do you have?” I don’t have any children. “Why not?” Because I had to have my uterus ripped out of my body.

@Pinkstarburst How come? If you don't mind my asking.
@iamnikki Cervical cancer, endometriosis and uterine fibroids. I couldn’t have gotten pregnant if I tried

“So are you in school?” I’m currently on a year off due to mental health issues. But I don’t particularly like sharing that with everyone
[c=#359E00]in SW : what do you do for fun? It's a shallow question[/c]

I hate that, too. It rarely advances the conversation.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@YukikoAmagi I hate that question as well. It could be better worded, especially if the person asking is interested like relationship-wise...example: what's an activity you want to do before the year is over...
[c=#359E00]i usually stop talking when guys asking me that[/c] 😂

English education does seem self-explanatory. I cringe at the question “why are you single?” Obviously because I have deep-seeded emotional abandonment issues, as well as an insidious self-destructive mechanism. Lol.
Same one, what job I want to do (I don't know). Why I dye my hair like I do (Since I like It). Why I am so quiet (since I am thinking of other things).

Yea I hear ya, you just want to shove a sock in it lol 😝 I wish you the best on your teaching path👌

"How much money do you make?"
iamnikki · 31-35, F
Its a conversations starter...ice breaker...what would you prefer them ask? "how was your childhood"?
