How do you react if strangers talking about your past?

Not all of us have a good past, I don't want to explode and tilt. Sometimes, we didn't aware the surroundings until it was too late for us to prepared our reaction.

How do "strangers" know enough to talk about your past? Someone who knows you mutually had to inform them of what you'd rather not have advertised elsewhere. And is THAT considered a friend? I don't think so.

For example - a couple of years ago, I went to a grammar school class reunion under the urging of fellow classmates. While there, I heard a former classmate in the first grade telling everybody about the accident I had in class over SIX DECADES AGO! He had been drinking and I would have laughed it off if the group he was telling it to hadn't laughed uproariously. Recently, I was invited to another such reunion and I refused. When the organizer asked why, I told him exactly what happened and why I wouldn't be there. He was amazed something so old would be dragged out into the light of day and grownups would think it funny. He was angrier than I was over it.

@Waymore I ain't harm people, but I do harm myself. My behavior is not norm in my society. Plus, my family have mental health history adding spicy and juicy of the story. The news spread gone viral. In particular event, some people bombarded me with killing questions. Some feel disgusted.

I am not going to tell directly since we all strangers here. Just want you to know. 🤗

Maybe it’s annoying but it’s not something to dwell on.

I don't give a damn about it.
