Then you have a bit of a moan and *poof* they disappear in a cloud of idgaf 😂 until the next time they need to vent, that is. Typical isn't it?

Very common.
I used to run into people who felt the need to one up me in my sorrow. Remind me Im not worthy of being sad.
I quit talking to people I know about anything.
