If camels 馃惇 are herbivores how come they live in deserts 馃彍?

Where there鈥檚 no vegetation and water, what would they eat?

Camels? Camels store extra water and fat in their humps so they can move safely through the desert for long periods of time.

CAMELS dont eat or drink till they get to an oasis where they get dates and vegetation.

Surely if a canal was in the desert there would be water..馃槅

Diet. In the desert, people feed camels with grass, grains, wheat and oats. When camels are travelling in the desert, food is often very hard to find. So the animal might have to live on dried leaves, seeds, and thorny twigs (without hurting their mouths).
