Forcing yourself to stay up pushes stress on the brain by dismantling REM cycles making you more tired the next day
GlassDog · 41-45, M
If you feel yourself nodding off, get up and walk around for 5-10 minutes. That'll keep you awake for at least another 20-30 minutes.

keep your mind busy watch a movie listen to music etc

Usually talk to whoever is in the room. That’ll do the trick.

I find staying physically active help. Caffeine, of course. A good B complex. Someone who makes me laugh helps keep me awake. Or being in a rage - it exhausting but the adrenaline runs freely.

Don't know where you are, but is there reason for you to stay awake?

@lulaluboo I have only slightly more control over my intoxication. Lately I've been bored of it enough, I watch a movie with two drinks and then sleep. But then those nights still happen ... ... ... .. .... .
@SW-User good to hear. I feel like myn is out of my.control.

@lulaluboo Do you have any other outlet? While I never find myself truly able to find my interests once in alcohol (other than give me a keyboard), I find my others the next day better when I don't get drunk?
