is it because the highway is near or i have super ears?

in my village Falakata when i am in my grandpa's house in Madari road during night i can hear the sound of trucks and lorries on the highway. actually Madari road is at right turn of the highway which takes us to Bhutan and after few metres is our house and there is truck moving 24/7 on the highway. so idk whether its because the highway is near the house or my ears r too powerful. but the truck sound is what i love about Falakata
