I Am Grateful - Focus on Appreciation... the Ego Moves Out of the Way.

Breathe, pause, and be grateful for the air that is filling your lungs and making your life possible.

Gratitude
Dutch philosopher Rabbi Baruch Spinoza suggested that each day for a month we ask ourselves the following three questions:

1. Who or what inspired me today?

2. What brought me happiness today?

3. What brought me comfort and deep peace today?

Today, I will notice the many things for which I am grateful; nurturing relationships, the body that allows me to experience the world, the mind that allows me to really understand myself, material comforts, and my essential spiritual nature.

Thank you. This will be wonderful to practice. It is difficult to ask ourselves what makes us happy every day but an intent to do it will find a way possibly.

Answer to 1, it is bonviveur today! :)

Good change and development doesn't come from being grateful and happy

@SW-User It may not have done so for you (just yet), but it will. Removing the ego and practicing positivity, gratitude and serenity will set the stage for you and allow you to experience life in its abundance.

It’s inevitable. Bad things happen to good people every day. And in those instances you will be far better suited to handle the situation, grieve as needed and, when ready, have the courage and strength to move forward.

@SW-User yes it does. Having a good attitude and state of mind prime you for being open to doing what it takes to grow.

@Dionysus a good attitude and state of mind helps a lot but is not possible when you are imprisoned by controlling, toxic people. Being kind and grateful for being in this situation only allows it to last longer.

I allowed myself to stay longer by being like that. I allowed people to take advantage of kindness by being like that. And now it happens with a friend.

Being positive and relaxed is a good option after getting out of it in this case.
