Why is the truth so offensive

Shouldn’t people be taught to embrace harsh truths rather than be thankful or kept in the dark to lies

And maybe someone fall in love with you when you give them a wake up call to reality, a nice surprise

To be told about your flaws, what makes them doubt, what you do to make others feel like they’re about to break

Would it not be easier to forgive and forget

Instead of living with a regret

But no

People lose their verve, they lose all sense of worth

It’s a new day, maybe you’ll still have them around. Maybe they’re in the pile of people who have left because you didn’t vocalise a sound

Aren’t we all perfectly imperfect? Do you like finding the truth out from other people? When has someone told you a truth so hard that it makes you weep still

Usually when angry at someone close to you, do you close up ... do you seek solace elsewhere

Making a new connection elsewhere, anywhere, a breath of fresh air

Someone to settle your fragile mind, for a moment in time ... because people can never sit too long and think about their own truth

That they are lost, but remain aloof

And they’ll think of something believable

A lie that is achievable

And share that, whilst looking in believing eyes

That will one day look back and do nothing but despise
I believe we all have our own truths... to an extent. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, but that doesn't make someone else's opinion a "truth".
@VomitingWords i am talking more about situational truths based on our actions which can often lead to deceit
Perceptional truths are different yes such as purpose of life, music tastes, the shape of the world etc

I prefer the sad truth than a lie. I'm surrounded by liars, in my shitty life of today, I escaped from this and then I'm back, I was stupid.

Also I think you can marry me, what do you think about it? XD
