Are you in favor of or against political correctness?

And please explain why are you with or against
I am in favour of good manners and social etiquette as a replacement to political correctness!
melovemycats · 26-30, F
I just believe in people being polite to each other in general, but I don't think that you have to lie about your political opinions in order to please other people. If a person is pressuring you into expressing your opinion on, for example, transgender people, then it is completely within your right to say your honest opinion, even if they don't like it. In short, no, I don't support political correctness, but that doesn't give you the right to be a dick to other people.

Against. Obviously.
Don't be fooled by some who want to redefine what it actually means.

It was a term created back in the 20's by the Soviets used to describe anyone who expressed a view contrary to the party line.

Against, it hinders and censores free speech and debate of essential socio-economic issues!

@SW-User I'm on the same page on that subject.

I don't care either way. I'm just sick of the term. It's become a buzzword.
Against it because people getting offended is their problem and not reality.
Nobody laughs anymore because people can't laugh about what's funny - the truth
Definition of Political correctness: the avoidance of forms of expression or action that are perceived to exclude, marginalize, or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against.

@Usernumber1

Ppl can say watever da fck they want #idgaf. It’z not about being ignorant by avoidance. Ppl must be aware/informed regarding all sides of the storiez/subject first to keep in mind there’re differencezz to freedom of speech and abusez/harassmentZ in any formzz including verbal abuzez. Ppl have personal limitzzz. If u can’t respect or understand individual’s differencez/limitz, it only showz how ignorant n inconsiderate u r.

I had no idea u were againzt political correctness Hahahaha. Wudnt wasted my time on your post with my repliez#luuuulzie

@RemovedUsername754069 I'm talking about freedom of speech, and not abuse or harassment. There's a difference.

Please go ahead and delete your comment if you feel like you wasted time replying to this question.
@Usernumber1 I don’t care enough to delete anything hhehahah.
I understand wat ur on abut gal, but some weak betchez take advantagezz of freedom of speech to abuzze/haraszz otherzz. I want otherzz to be aware thoze’re unacceptable/pathetic. I am alllllll forrrrrrr freeeeedom of speech tho
I'm against it. It's a human mind construct. It's worthless and has no future except for zombies.

I know this is going to be a highly unpopular answer, but I like it. It’s a part of being socially responsible. It means you avoid saying stuff that’s usually ignorant anyway and that seeks to make people who have a history of being marginalized feel like they’re not welcome.
I don’t even know what it is.
